After Your Tatami Arrives
・Tatami can be quite heavy. Please be careful and carry it in pairs whenever possible.
・If storing outside, please make sure to store it out of the reach of rain and other precipitation.
・Natural fiber tatami can grow mold or mildew if left sealed in high humidity. Please open your tatami soon after you recieve it.
・If you lay down your tatami yourself, please wipe the facing with a dry cloth afterward.
・When harvested, the rush is colored using natural dye that may transfer to clothing. This dye is skin-safe and should come out easily when washed. -
To customers concerned about shipping damage
While we package our tatami carefully to ensure it arrives safely, we are able to provide information about shipping in crates and using forklifts. Please mention your shipping preferences in the "Remarks" section when requesting your estimate.

Concerning Customs
We can provide information about expected customs fees and tariffs when estimating the cost of your order. The actual amount may differ from our estimation, so we ask that the customer also researches potential fees and tariffs. In some situations, a certificate of origin may eliminate these costs. We will provide a certificate of origin with your order.
